The 20th century witnessed the emergence of many controversial forms of art, music, movies, literature, and most importantly exposure to the suppressed voices that were attempting to break free and challenge the traditional concepts and beliefs of the society. The controversy was in the way these platforms expressed the intended and how it was emotionally powerful and aesthetically creative and empowering. I found the “The Enigma of William Tell” by Salvador Dali to be a controversial painting and interestingly, quite amazing how he brought out the meaning through his work.
